CAEF at GIFA 2019: highly successful

CAEF was rep­res­en­ted at the inter­na­tional foundry trade fair GIFA from 25 to 29 June 2019 and wel­comed its mem­ber asso­ci­ations as well as their mem­ber com­pan­ies. GIFA is the most import­ant meet­ing place of the foundry world and takes place every four years in Düs­sel­dorf, Germany.

Besides its European mem­ber asso­ci­ations, CAEF was present with a booth and has been suc­cess­fully rep­res­en­ted by Heiko Lick­fett, Sec­ret­ary Gen­eral and Sophie Stef­fen, Sec­ret­ary of the Eco­nomic Com­mis­sion. Many inter­ested vis­it­ors, foundry experts, fin­ance spe­cial­ists and journ­al­ists took the oppor­tun­ity to come by and dis­cuss eco­nomic and tech­nical devel­op­ments, risks and chances for the foundry business.

Moreover, CAEF presen­ted its planned and cur­rent pro­jects, such as the new pub­lished pic­ture lib­rary and the inter­na­tional exchange pro­gramme for appren­tices. Addi­tion­ally, CAEF provided inform­a­tion about upcom­ing events, like the react­iv­a­tion of the Gen­eral Engin­eer­ing Sec­tion. At the end, Heiko Lick­fett sums up: “We have received many pos­it­ive reac­tions on our work and got inter­est­ing impulses and new ideas for our future work rep­res­ent­ing and sup­port­ing the European foundry industry. The fair was a great success! ”
